Transit visa

The foreigners and the stateless persons can carry out transit through the territory of Ukraine if they have the transit Ukrainian visa if other isn't provided by the legislation or international treaties of Ukraine.

Transit visa (it is designated by a letter B, in a machine-readable zone - VB).  The foreigners and stateless persons register a transit visa in case of transit through the territory of Ukraine to the third states, and also implementation of transit transportation of goods and passengers by the motor transport.

The transit visa can be single, two - and repeated for the period specified in documents, which are the basis for registration of such visa, but no more than for one year if other isn't provided by international treaties of Ukraine. Thus stay term in the territory of Ukraine during each transit through its territory shouldn't exceed five days.

The bases for registration of a transit visa is one of the following documents:

   1) the document which confirms transit character of a trip (the visa in a third of the state (in case of need), the ticket, etc.); 

   2) the document which confirms transit nature of transportation of goods and passengers with the motor transport; 

   3) the license for implementation of the international transport, granted by the appropriate competent authority of the state of stay.

In case of the compelled stop the foreigner or the stateless person have the right to extend term of temporary stay on territories of Ukraine before elimination of circumstances that it caused.
